Fort Nisqually Living History Museum brings visitors back to the 1800s, when the first European trading settlement on the Puget Sound was established on this location. Now returned to its mid-19th century appearance, the museum often features interpreters dressed in period outfits offering exhibitions of traditional crafts and providing information about frontier and fur trading life in the 1800s. One of the many attractions inside Port Defiance Park, other activities for families include a visit to the Camp 6 Logging Museum or the Port Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
